Strong Strom Hits the area on Monday

Tree hits mobile home on the Old Tullahoma Hwy in Manchester

Multiple trees and power lines were down in Manchester and Hillsboro on Monday. The severe thunderstorms caused widespread damage to the Duck River Electric Co-op system, Spectrum, and phone services. Thousands of electric customers remained without power into Monday night.

On Target News received information that multiple trees had fallen on vehicles and caused severe damage. A mobile home on the Old Tullahoma Hwy was almost split in half by a fallen tree.

Rivendell Apartments suffered damage that displaced eight residents at the complex.

Due to the power being off in some areas of Manchester, the traffic lights were not working, causing heavy traffic congestion.
