On April 25, 2024, the Winchester Police Department arrested Ladarion Demetrius Smith in Winchester. Smith had warrants from Giles County, Tennessee, for attempted aggravated robbery, possession of a weapon during the commission of a dangerous felony, aggravated burglary, unlawful possession of a firearm, and aggravated burglary.
Smith had evaded authorities for nearly two years, and during his arrest, he was in possession of three firearms. Smith was taken into custody for the warrants from Giles County and faces new charges of unlawful possession of a weapon, theft of property, and resisting arrest. Smith’s bond was set at $250,000.
