On Thursday night the Lady Vols defeated the Tigers of Missouri 78-73 in an SEC matchup on the road.
In the first quarter of play the Tigers pulled past Tennessee 17-18. The Lady Vols stayed strong but Missouri out-scored Tennessee again 17-18 to end the second quarter. The Lady Vols went into the locker room at the half trailing the Tigers 36-34. Missouri continued to dominate the Lady Vols ending the third quarter with the lead over Tennessee 60-55. The Lady Vols pulled together in the fourth quarter outscoring the Tigers 23-13 to take home the W for Tennessee.
Rennia Davis lead the way in scoring for the Lady Vols by posting 26 points. Rae Burrell scored 23 points on the night for Tennessee. Jordan Horston notched 9 points to help bring home the win for the Lady Vols.
