Name Released of Drowning Victim in Franklin County

We can now update you on a story we brought you yesterday concerning a drowning in Franklin County. Authorities responded to the Rock Creek Boat Ramp Sunday afternoon after a concerned citizen called 911 to report a possible drowning.

After many hours of searching and using an R.O.V. submersible and TWRA officials located the body of the 80-year-old Edward Hale Harper of Estill Springs.

It appears that Mr. Harper had been enjoying the lake on his wave runner jet ski when the weather changed just prior to the thunderstorms that hit the area Sunday afternoon.
