Scammer Working on Bedford County Residents

The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office has been made aware of a scam affecting the community.

The scammer says that you have missed jury duty. The caller then goes on to say that you must pay a fine of $500 and meet at the Sheriff’s Office. The caller has identified themselves as an employee of the Sheriff’s Office and might go by Sgt. Bobby Davis.

Please know the sheriff’s office will never ask you for money or to pay a fine for such things.
