Tullahoma City Administrator Jason Quick has appointed Acting Lieutenant Chase Sons to serve as the Interim Police Chief for the Tullahoma Police Department. Sons will serve in this position during the search for a permanent replacement and until a new hire has occurred.
“Until a permanent police chief can be identified and hired, it is critical that our police department continue to serve the city of Tullahoma at the highest level. The selection of Interim Chief Sons will allow us to meet this goal while also continuing our growth in training and resources to meet the growing needs of our community,” Quick states. “During my time as City Administrator, Chase has been quite impressive while serving in the role of interim Lieutenant. In my conversations with him, he has demonstrated a true passion and dedication to his profession, the city of Tullahoma, and in serving those he is sworn to protect. Moreover, he believes in accountability for all in doing their job to the highest standard of excellence. I have the utmost confidence in Chief Sons and his ability to effectively lead our department during this interim period.”
“It is an honor to be selected by City Administrator Quick as Interim Chief. I am looking forward to working with the men and women of the Tullahoma Police Department to move this agency forward and serve the great citizens of the City of Tullahoma,” Sons comments. “It is my goal to look at all operations within the Police Department and ensure we are moving in a positive direction. I want the Tullahoma Police Department to be the premier agency in Southern Middle Tennessee. If that means correcting areas where we need improvement, then it is my goal to correct that as soon as possible.”
