Three Red Raider Pitchers combine for No-Hitter

Coffee County baseball pitchers Jacob Holder, Timothy Henderson and Cole Pippenger combined for a no-hitter on Monday night in Shelbyville. The Red Raiders defeated the Golden Eagles 8-1.

The big innings for Coffee County happened in the 4th and 5th when the Raiders scored 3 times in each.

Holder was the winning pitcher for Coffee County plus he had 2 hits including a solo homerun, scored twice and knocked in 2 runs to earn the Sir Pizza Player of the Game.

Catcher Caleb Moran added 2 hits for the Red Raider offense and Jacob Sherrill contributed a hit and scored twice.

Marquis Wilson took the loss for Shelbyville. The righthander lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing seven hits and eight runs, only three were earned while striking out two and walking one.

The two teams will play again Tuesday night in Manchester at 6 p.m. The Rooster 101.5 FM will be covering softball as the Lady Raiders travel to McMinnville to take on Warren County. Airtime is 6:50 p.m. with the first pitch set for 7 p.m.
