Tourism is getting a boost in communities across Tennessee, as the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development has announced that the state awarded 29 communities over $2.22 million in Tourism Enhancement Grants.
Town of Bell Buckle: Updates to the alleyway, including drainage, lighting, moving utility lines underground, painting, and surfacing the walkway. $35,000.
Town of Tracy City: $88,350 for the addition of a roof to the stage, including lighting & electricity, sidewalk and parking lot improvements, construction of a pedestrian path, wayfinding, and interpretive signage.
Moore County: $48,825 for the renovation or replacement of Moorehead Pavilion, including remodeling of restroom facilities, septic repairs, electrical work, light replacement, ice machine room remodel, ceiling fan installation, ground leveling to reduce potholes and driveway repairs.
