Tullahoma High School Golf Season is Underway

The Tullahoma Wildcat boys’ golf team finished 5th in The Webb School Invitational hosted at Riverbend Country Club in Shelbyville on Monday.

The top four scores that counted for the Cats were Jack Hill (82), Alex Miller (84), Keegan Taylor (85), and Caden Finchum (96), for a team total of (347).

Myla Dennis scored 89 to place 3rd individually on the girls’ side. With only one player competing and it taking two scores for a team score, the Lady Cats didn’t place in the tournament.

First Place in boys’ play went to The Webb School (297), and Jackson Christian (307) finished runner-up.

Last week the Tullahoma Wildcat boys golf team competed in the Lawrence County Invitational on Monday, July 24th.

Twelve teams from across the lower Middle Tennessee area competed in this annual tournament. The Wildcats came out strong with low scores from a couple of first-year Cat players. Sophomore Jack shot 76, and Freshman Alex Miller scored 77. Those scores helped the Cats to finish in 3rd place overall with a team score of 326. Lawrence County won the championship with a score of 309, and Summertown finished at 320.

Lady Cat Myla Dennis shot 93 to finish ninth out of twenty-five girls competing.
