Two Fatal Crashes on the Same Day in Coffee County

On Wednesday morning March 6, around 6:53, the Tennessee Highway Patrol reports that a 2018 Ford F-150 was traveling eastbound on the Wattendorf Memorial Hwy. near AEDC inside Coffee County. The truck was traveling behind a 1995 Chrysler New Yorker driven by 67 year-old Brian Roebuck. The report says that Roebuck was stopped in the eastbound traffic west of Rifle Range Rd.

According to the THP, a 2015 Ford Taurus was traveling westbound on the highway just east of Rifle Range Rd. The pickup driven by 57-year-old Gregory Snell collided with the Chrysler, which caused the New Yorker. Snell’s vehicle entered the path of a 2015 Ford Taurus driven by 32-year-old Aler Reyes-Lucus, and they collided as the Ford was traveling westbound on the highway just east of Rifle Range Rd.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says that Roebuck died as a result of his injuries. Snell and Reyes-Lucus were both injured.

A second fatal crash occurred on the same day just before midnight on State Route 280 in Coffee County. The THP says this crash remains under investigation, and no other information can be released at this time.
