Ninety-three of Tennessee’s 95 counties recorded lower unemployment rates in August 2023, according to new data from the Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD).
Moore County had Tennessee’s lowest unemployment rate in August. At 2.4%, its statistic dropped 0.3 of a percentage point from July’s rate of 2.7%. Bedford County fell from 3.8% to 3.5%. Coffee County’s unemployment rate in July was 3.7% and dropped to 3.3% in August. Franklin County went down to 3.6% from 3.9% in July. Grundy County fell from 5% in July to 4.2% in August. Lincoln County dropped from 3.3% to 3%, and in Warren County, the unemployment rate went down from 4.8% in July to 4% in August.
