University of Tennessee Signs Naming Rights Agreement with Food City

The University of Tennessee announced on Wednesday that Food City has entered into a 10-year agreement with UT for the naming rights for Thompson-Boling Arena, which will now be rebranded as the Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center. The $20 million naming rights agreement will aid in new and needed arena renovations.

The first event set to take place in the newly named Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center is the Tennessee volleyball program’s season-opener against Texas State in the Tennessee Classic on Friday, Aug. 25.

Food City operates a grocery store in Winchester.
