Golden Classic High School Golf Tournament Results

The Golden Classic high school golf tournament was held at Willowbrook in Manchester on Wednesday.

On the boys’ side, the Cookeville Cavaliers finished first with a score of 308, followed by the Webb School at 310, and Coffee County finished third with a score of 317. Other team scores individually: Tullahoma 338, Franklin County 361, Tullahoma#2 365, Coffee County#2 368, and Cascade finished with a score of 415.

The individual champion was Phet Phothong from Webb won in a playoff against Cookeville’s Brant Kardatzke as they both shot even-par 72. Coffee County Red Raider Jack Stowe finished third by scoring a 3-over 75. Tullahoma Wildcat Alex Miller shot 76 for fourth place.

Other area players that counted toward their team’s score:

Coffee County: Jackson Shemwell 79, Brady Daugherty 80, and Noah Costello 83.

Tullahoma: Keegan Taylor 86, Jack Hill 88, and Caden Finchum 88.

Franklin County: Chase Towry 81, Jaxson Lynch 87, Evan Lynch 93, and Brady Hall 100.

Shelbyville: Corban Crowe 96, Seth Sharp 96, Micah Heflin 107, and Gabe Velasquez 107.

Cascade: Caden Hammonds 98, Tucker McGee 104, Luke Harris 106, and Zach Crosslin 107.

Webb: Preston Hall 77, Luke Gay 80, and Andrew Reeves 81.

Coffee County#2 was led by Beau Murray with an 86, and Tullahoma’s#2 low man was Andrew Fulmer with an 88.

In the girls’ tournament, the Webb Feet won the championship with a score of 4-under par 140, followed by Lincoln County’s 169, Cascade’s 170, Cascade#2 196, Coffee County’s 205, Franklin County’s 206, and Cookeville’s 212.

Individually, Webb’s Proud Sriwongngam played a fantastic round as she shot 5-under 67. Her teammate Opal Domethong posted a 1-over 75. Lincoln County’s Adie Neal finished 3rd with a 79, and Cascade’s Tatyana Green shot 81.

Lincoln County: Amie Neal 90.

Tullahoma: Myla Dennis 99.

Shelbyville: Anabel Leigh 111.

Cascade: Anna Clanton 89.

Franklin County: Amelia Maxon 93, and Savannah Pendergraff 113.
