A 1999 Cessna 550 jet registered to EBAA Iron, Inc. from Texas crashed into the fence between the Tullahoma Airport runway and the terminal building Wednesday morning, resulting in a close call.
The jet was making a stop in Tullahoma to refuel. For unknown reasons, the brakes failed. The pilot reportedly pulled the emergency brakes, but only one set deployed, prompting the plane to turn and roll toward the terminal.
None of the six people on board were injured. According to an airport official, the jet suffered slight damage to the wingtip was slightly damaged.
