As reported on earlier this week, 79 year-old Lonnie J. Norman Sr., Mayor of the City of Manchester passed away early Monday at the Stonecrest Medical Center in Smyrna, Tennessee. Norman had been diagnosed with COVID-19 on Oct. 1.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 17th, 2020, at Rotary Park Amphitheater from 1pm until 4pm.
Services for the family will be conducted at the Rotary Park on Sunday, October 18th, 2020, at 1pm. Burial will follow in the Cypress Garden Cemetery in Manchester.
The family encourages the community to pay their respects on Saturday, October 17th, 2020. They also recommend face mask and physical distancing.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and/or the Bonnaroo Works Fund.
On Wednesday Gov. Bill Lee ordered flags at the state capital to be flown at half-staff in memory of Mayor Norman.
