The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance has offered a $5,000 reward leading to the arrest and conviction of the attempted arsonist last Saturday at the Charles Creek Baptist Church.
On June 20, a member of the church had driven by and noticed a window was broken and saw flames inside. Investigators with the Sheriff’s Department along with the Tenn. Bomb and Arson Unit responded to the scene and saw that an accelerant was thrown thru the window that caused the fire. The church sustained minimal damage.
No arrests have been made.
