East Girls, West Boys Take Rivalry Game

Monday evening Tullahoma middle schools squared off in a pair of basketball games at the Tullahoma High School gym. When the smoke had cleared East Middle girls and the West Middle boys had come through with big wins for their programs. In the girls tilt, East took a 2 point lead in at halftime 14-12 and then hung onto that lead for the 26-23 victory. Ainya Grizzard and Jaidyn Johnson led the Lady Panthers with 9 and 8 points respectfully. The Lady Bobcats were led by Isabella Lidstrom with 9 and Aubrey Johnson North with 7 points. In the second game of the doubleheader, the score was tied at 20 going into the half but good defense for the Bobcats was the difference as they held East to just 9 second half points to take the win 39-29. West Middle leading scorers were DeAndre Jenkins with 14 and Xavier Ferrell with 11 points while East was paced by Logan Prosser with 12 and Khani Johnson with 9 points. Both teams re in action again on Thursday night as East travels to White County and West Middle visits North Middle.
