Larry Floyd preparing box for give-away… All photos by Barry West

Around 7 years ago Coffee County residents Brent and Becky Carter decided they wanted to do something for those in need in the area. So, every Sunday, Brent told On Target News he and wife Becky collect food to give out for free.

Each person received this amount of food on Sunday, December 27, 2020

The food that is given away goes through the program ‘Feed America First’ and then onto Pleasant View Baptist Church in Woodbury. Carter stated they collect some of the remaining items and distributes the various food items at the Westwood School parking lot in Manchester every Sunday from 2:20PM-3:30PM, rain, sunshine, or snow. Normally 50-60 vehicles show up and some people even walk to get the food.

Carter said it’s his pleasure to help those in need and serve the Lord.

So, if you are in need, just show up for the free items.

Carter thanked Larry and Glenda Floyd for helping with the food distribution.
