COVID-19 Update; Lincoln County Suffers First Death

The Tennessee Department of Health has confirmed additional cases of COVID-19 across the state on Thursday, July 23. The health department reported 2,570 new cases, bringing the state to 86,987 total cases.

TDH also confirmed 37 additional deaths, bringing Tennessee up to 925 total deaths.

Out of the confirmed positive cases, 51,661 have recovered, an increase of 1,913 recoveries. Tennessee currently has 34,401 active cases.

*Bedford County: 10 died; 711 confirmed/probable cases; 553 recovered; 148 active cases

*Coffee County: 0 died: 233 confirmed/probable cases; 135 recovered; 98 active cases

*Franklin County: 3 died; 171 confirmed/probable; 99 recovered; 69 active cases

*Grundy County: 2 died; 77 confirmed/probable; 59 recovered; 16 active cases

*Lincoln County: 1 died; 165 confirmed/probable; 69 recovered; 95 active cases. Lincoln County announced its first coronavirus death on Thursday.

*Moore County: 0 died; 35 confirmed/probable; 19 recovered; 16 active cases

*Rutherford County: 45 died; 5,016 confirmed/probable; 2,371 recovered; 2,600 active cases.

*Warren County: 3 died; 262 confirmed/probable; 95 recovered; 164 active cases
