In Fayetteville on Tuesday night, the Lincoln County Falcons hosted the Coffee County Red Raiders in District 9-AAAA baseball.
The Falcons jumped to a 5-0 lead after 2 innings, but the Raiders roared back with three runs in the third and two in the fourth to tie the game. Lincoln County kept their scoring going and finished up with a 12-5 win.
Cole Pippenger had a nice night at the plate for Coffee County, going 2-for-4 with a triple, 2 RBI, and a run scored. Colter Neel had two hits and an RBI, and Trevor Jesse finished the game with two hits and scored twice.
Ian Weaver homered for the second night in a row for the Falcons, as they improved to 16-8 overall and 6-2 in district play.
The Red Raiders fell to 10-13-1 overall and are now 4-4 in District 9-AAAA. Coffee County will be back on the diamond on Thursday at home against Central Magnet beginning at 4:30 PM.
