Lady Raider Softball Wins Big Again

On Tuesday evening, at Terry Floyd Field, Coffee County hosted Columbia in district softball. It was a great night for the home team, as they picked up the 9-2 win.

The Lady Raiders continued their incredible hitting with 13 more hits. Their team batting average is nearing .400 on the season.

The Dr. Jay Trussler/Rooster 101.5 Player of the Game Paisley Campbell was 4-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and a run scored. Jalyn Moran hit her team-leading fourth home run on the season, and Channah Gannon hit her first. Ella Arnold was 2-for-3, including a triple, two RBI, and three runs scored. Willow Carden and Chesnie Cox added two hits each.

Lily Norman pitched a complete game for the win. She allowed just four hits and two runs and struck out 10 Lay Lions.

Coffee County improved to 12-5 overall and 5-0 in District 9-AAAA play. They will host another district foe in Warren County on Thursday at 7 PM. You can hear the game on the Rooster 101.5, www.rooster1015.com, or the Rooster 101.5 app.
