Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Issues Scam Warning

Please be aware that someone is calling citizens in our area and requesting them to make donations to support the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office. The person making the phone calls poses as an officer from the sheriff’s office. THIS IS A SCAM.

Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says they will never call you and ask for a monetary donation. Please do not be fooled by these scammers.

Protect your personal information when communicating with unknown people via phone, text messages, email, and social media.

The case is currently being investigated.
