Friday’s MYBA Scores and Week 5 Standings

Five games on Friday wrapped up the 5th Week for the Manchester Youth Baseball Association and left the standings unchanged. In 8U, a doubleneader featuring Interstate Auto and State Farm produced a split, as Interstate won 18-3 in the opener, while Lions Club took the second game 25-20. In 10U, First National Bank downed Chico’s Bail Bonds 15-11 and State Farm beat Coffee County Bank 18-3. The only other game was in 12U which saw Shelter Insurance win over Peoples Bank 18-5.

At week’s end, Manchester Tire and Brake remained undefeated at 10-0 in the 6U Division, while Dr. J at 10-1 leads 8U over Freedom Automotive at 10-2.State Farm is undefeated at 9-0 in 10U but there is a tie atop 12U between Powers Storage and Clower Automotive, both 8-2. The Yankees are on top of 18U with a 9-1 record.

Play will continue on Monday night at 5:00 and 7::30 pm.
