The Decherd Christmas parade will take place on Saturday at 6:00 PM. The Decherd Police Department advises everyone that the parade route will start on Decherd Blvd. and Cumberland St. at the Franklin County Farmers Co-op. The parade will go down the Blvd. to Walgreens and turn left onto West Main Street. Then it will go up West Main St. and end at Hank Weddington Park.
The lineup for the parade begins at 4:30 PM. Cumberland St. will be shut down from Decherd Blvd. to Sunshine Circle; there will be no through traffic.
At 5:45 PM, Decherd Blvd., West Main Street, and intersecting road closures will include Decherd Blvd—41A between the Co-op and Walgreens. West Main Street from Decker Blvd. to the railroad tracks will be closed. All intersecting roads will be shut down from Cumberland St. to Decherd Blvd., Walgreens, and West Main Street to the railroad tracks.
Alternate routes include Sharp Springs Rd., AEDC Rd. (Highway 127), Decherd-Estill Road, or Old Tullahoma Rd. (Highway 130). Be safe and enjoy the parade.
