Kim Welch Stockton Memorial Nursing Scholarship Established at Motlow State

The Motlow College Foundation has established The Kim Welch Stockton Memorial Nursing Scholarship in conjunction with her family to honor Kim’s passion and service in the nursing field. Kim was a 1976 graduate of Motlow State’s nursing program. After receiving her associate degree from Motlow, she earned a bachelor’s degree from Tennessee Tech University and a master’s degree from the University of Alabama-Huntsville. Kim worked as a nurse practitioner at local hospitals, nursing homes, home health organizations, and clinics throughout her career until retirement.

Applicants for the Kim Welch Stockton Memorial Nursing Scholarship must be enrolled in the nursing program at Motlow State and have a demonstrated financial need as evidenced by completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Preferred recipients are first-year nursing students who are graduates of Tullahoma High School, Coffee County Central High School or Franklin County High School. Nursing students may apply for the scholarship at https://mscc.awardspring.com. Applicants must have a Motlow student ID, email address, and login credentials to access the application.

He is currently the play-by-play voice of the Coffee County Red Raiders (31 years) on The Rooster 101.5 and can be heard M-F broadcasting our local news. Lucky has done play-by-play for 3,993 (and counting) sports events on Radio & TV. He also served four years as the Public Information Officer for the Coffee Co. Sheriff's Dept. and taught Radio/TV for six years at Grundy County High School.
