Lady Raider Softball Wins Opening Game; Raider Baseball Falls to Seigel

Coffee County opened its softball season by hosting Cascade on Thursday night at Terry Floyd Field.

Paisley Cambell had a big night, leading the way at the plate with 3 hits and 2 RBI. Madison Pruitt hit a walk-off 3-run homer in the 6th inning, putting the Lady Raiders up 12-1 and winning on the run rule.

Lily Norman was outstanding in the circle. The sophomore went four innings and did not allow a baserunner, striking out six.

Coffee County will host Spring Hill at 6:45 PM on Wednesday, March 13, and you can hear the game on the Rooster 101.5

 

In high school baseball, Coffee County traveled to Siegel on Wednesday in non-district action.

The stars aligned for the host team as they defeated the Red Raiders 9-2.

Nate Rutledge had a hit and an RBI for the Red Raiders.

Coffee County will return to Murfreesboro on Monday as they take on Oakland at 7 PM.
