On Monday the Moore County Blue Raiders boys squad lost in a hard-fought matchup against the Bobcats of Pickett County 61-40 in the Class A Sectional round.
The Blue Raiders came out aggressive against the Bobcats to end the first quarter tied 10-10. Moore County kept pace, but Pickett County pulled ahead to take the lead and end the second quarter on top 22-12. The Blue Raiders came out of halftime and stayed strong against the Bobcats but still fell short at the end of the third quarter of play. Moore County kept their heads high for 8 more minutes of play but Pickett County finished the contest on top. The Moore County Blue Raiders boys’ squad will end their season 7-3 in District and 15-13 overall.
