Tullahoma High School graduate Austin Secrest, a member of the Wildcat basketball program, will continue his academic and sports career at Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN., this fall. He joins basketball teammate Ben Fulton, who had previously accepted an offer to play at Cumberland.
The Wildcats, winners of the District 8-AAA Tournament, finished their season with a record of 16-16, losing to Murfreesboro’s Siegel High School in the semi-finals of the Region 4-AAA Tournament held in Lawrenceburg, TN.
Despite missing a 30-day period because of an injury, he was instrumental in re-charging the team once the district portion of their schedule began in 2020, defeating rival Coffee County High 55-40 and grabbing the No. 2 seed going into the District. Secrest averaged 10 ppg as a senior and was named to the All-District and All-Region teams.
