Shelbyville baseball defeats Summit

Shelbyville Golden Eagles took the lead late in the game in a 9-3 victory over Summit on Saturday. The game was tied at three with Shelbyville batting in the bottom of the sixth when Aiden Edwards doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs. 

Shelbyville Golden Eagles earned the victory despite allowing Summit to score three runs in the sixth inning. 

Logan Roberts led the Shelbyville Golden Eagles to victory on the pitcher’s mound. The pitcher went two innings, allowing three runs on two hits and striking out one. AJ Parker threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. 

Brady O’Neal started the game for Shelbyville. The pitcher lasted two innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while walking one 

Shelbyville saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Edwards, Hunter Wilhelm, and Parker each had multiple hits for Shelbyville. Wilhelm and Edwards each managed three hits to lead the Golden Eagles.
