The leg of Grant Chadwick was the difference in the game. Chadwick drilled a 53-yard field goal to put Tullahoma on the board with 1:20 to play in the first quarter. He added a 47-yarder with 9:19 to go in the second to make it 6-0.
After Khani Johnson returned a Red Raider punt to the 8-yard line, the Wildcats got a TD pass from Mason Bratcher to Ethan Hargrove. The extra point made it 13-0 with 6:10 left in the first half.
Chadwick capped the scoring with a 42-yard field goal with 7:29 left in the third to push the Tullahoma to a 16-0 advantage, which would end up being the final.
Chadwick’s solid punting forced the Coffee County offense into difficult situations all night. Even though the Raiders outgained Tullahoma 163-78, they were unable to find a scoring opportunity to fall to 1-1 on the season. The Wildcats took home the Coffee Pot trophy and improved to 1-1.
