The Coffee County High School golf teams got their seasons underway on Monday.
The Lady Raiders dropped a close match to Lincoln County 167-178. Cadie Prater had the low score for Coffee County with an 88 and Maggie Crouch scored a 90 over the 18-holes. Amie Neal had the low score for the Lady Falcons with an 82. Shelbyville only had one player so they could not compete as a team.
In boys’ play the Raiders defeated Lincoln County 368-381. Shelbyville managed to get past Coffee County 340-368.
Noah Costello shot the low score for the Raiders with a 90 followed by Jacob Holder’s 91.
Barton Boyce had a 79 for Golden Eagles and Falcons were led by Jackson Taylor who scored an 89.
