The Coffee County Lady Raiders only took an hour and five minutes to dispose of Spring Hill 12-0 in high school softball on Wednesday night at Terry Floyd Field.
Lily Norman was on fire in the circle. The sophomore started the game and faced only nine batters, striking out all nine. Katlyn Anderson pitched a one-two-three 4th inning to complete the perfect game. Norman was named the Dr Jay Trussler/Rooster 101.5 Player of the Game.
The Lady Raiders’ hitting attack was led by Madison Pruitt and Savannah Cooper, who each had 2 hits and scored twice. Cooper had 3 RBI, and Pruitt knocked in 2 runners. Willow Carden also had 2 hits and scored 2 runs.
Extra base hits on the night went to Chesnie Cox with a triple, and Channah Gannon, Ella Arnold, Kara Wheeler, Carden, and Cooper all had doubles.
Coffee County had 13 hits when the game was called due to the run rule in the bottom of the 4th inning.
The Lady Raiders will travel to Eagleville on Friday, with game time set for 6 PM. On Sunday, Coffee County travels to Tullahoma. Because of coverage of the men’s SEC basketball tournament on The Rooster 101.5, the game will be heard on 93.9 The Duck.
