Grundy County Man Receiving $1 Million for Wrongful Imprisonment

Adam Braseel, the Grundy County man who served 12 years in prison for a murder he did not commit, has received great news from the Tennessee Board of Claims.

The Board awarded Braseel $1 million for his wrongful imprisonment/exoneration claim.

Braseel was exonerated after many years of battling to prove his innocence after being initially convicted for the 2007 murder of Malcolm Burrows in Tracy City. Braseel was exonerated in 2021.
