Moran’s Two Dingers Lift the Lady Raiders past Warren County

Jalyn Moran stepped up big at the plate on Thursday night as the Coffee County Lady Raiders defeated Warren County 11-1 in a run-rule 5 1/3 innings. Moran drove in four runs with home runs in the second and sixth.

Kaitlyn Davis pitched the Lady Raiders to the district win. She threw all six innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out 13. Ceilee Gudat took the loss for the Lady Pioneers. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing six hits and eight runs while striking out two.

Coffee County totaled ten hits in the game. Madison Pruitt, Moran, and Davis had two hits for 16-5 Lady Raiders. Coffee County is 5-0 in District 6 Class 4-A play.

The Lady Raiders will be hosting the Coffee County Classic Friday and Saturday. They play Baylor at 4:30 PM and Wilson Central at 8:10 PM Friday. On Saturday, they play Riverdale at 10 AM and Giles County at 5:20 PM.
