Raiders hold off Cannon County in Saturday Night Round Ball Action

In Saturday night high school basketball action in Manchester, Coffee County got its first win of the year by knocking off Cannon County, 49-42.

The Red Raiders led by only two, 15-13 at the half, but a big 20 point third quarter helped to push Coffee County to the win.

Head Coach Micah Williams got well balanced scoring that was led by Jaxson Vaughn with 16 points followed by Trenton Scrivnor’s 13. Connor Shemwell added 8, all in the 2nd half.

Vaughn was named by Rooster 101.5 FM as the Crazy Daisies Player of the Game.

Next up for the 1-1 Raiders will be a home contest versus White County on Tuesday night at the Joe Frank Patch Memorial Gym in Manchester. Girls tip is at 6pm and the guys at approx. 7:30pm and you can hear both games live on The Rooster 101.5 FM, online at rooster1015.com or on our free app.
