We have a road closure for drivers that use Roarks Cove Rd, near the top of Sewanee Mountain between Running Knob Hollow Rd and the Perimeter Trail in Franklin County.
Franklin County Highway Department Superintendent Luke McCurry says work will begin on April 10. He says Geostabilization International will be contracted to perform slope stabilization on a potential slide area near the waterfall. This construction is expected to last for up to 8-10 working days, depending on weather conditions.
The Franklin County Highway Department is asking motorists to please plan another route in advance if this is your usual route of travel. For more information, you can call their office.
