The Coffee County Red Raider baseball team jumped to an early lead on Tuesday afternoon at Lebanon after Hayden Hullett sole home for a 1-0 lead after a half-inning.
The Blue Devils didn’t hit the ball that well but got some key hits when it counted. They only managed 4 hits but received 7 walks and 7 stolen bases to help propel them to the 6-3 non-district win.
Starter Pitcher Jacob Holder took the tough defeat for the Red Raiders. The righthander allowed two hits and four runs over three innings, striking out five.
Aiden Robertson, Wyatt Nugent, Carter McKenzie, and Griffin Meeker each collected one hit each for Coffee County. Nugent and Meeker had an RBI each.
The Raiders will compete in a tournament on Friday and Saturday. At 3pm on Friday at Lebanon High School they play Loretto at 3pm followed with another game against Lebanon.
On Saturday at 10am Coffee County takes on Rossview and at 3pm the Raiders play Riverdale. Both games will take place at Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro.
