Warren County Sheriff Investigators Spencer Pryor and Gary Kemper recently arrested Thomas Troupe. Troupe was charged with the felony crimes of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Sell or Deliver and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon(s) by a Convicted Felon, as well as other misdemeanor offenses.
The arrest was based on a traffic stop on Capshaw Road, located in Warren County, resulting in the discovery of approximately 9 grams of methamphetamine, two (2) firearms, ammunition, and magazines. It was determined that Troupe had a previous felony conviction, making the possession of his firearms illegal. The vehicle he was driving, a 2019 Honda Odyssey, was seized, along with the weapons, ammunition, and magazines. The methamphetamine has been sent to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation crime lab for analysis.
Sheriff Jackie Matheny wants to ensure the community that he and his officers remain committed to identifying, investigating, and arresting those who participate in the possession of or trafficking of illegal drugs.
